Setting Up a Custom Domain

Change your default Basepage domain to your own custom one!

If you already have one, you'll have to log into whichever registrar you're hosted with. (GoDaddy, Google Domains, Etc). If you don't have one, you can get one from any registrar.

Quick Overview

Here's a quick overview of the steps you'll do.

  1. You'll need to log into your domain registrar, under DNS settings for your domain, enter the following
    1. Point an "A" Record to the following IP Address 35.235.86.96  for this.
    2. Point a "CNAME" Record to "www"
  2. Once you have it pointed, give it some time to propagate before setting your domain in Basepage
  3. Once you Set Custom Domain, it will take about 5-10min for the SSL to be created. Your site will not be accessible yet.
  4. You can check that status by clicking the Status link. You can refresh your browser and wait till it's finished and you get all green bars in the Status section.
